🎭 Jon Klassen Puppet Theatre
January 16 – February 20 (6 weeks)
Ages 7–13 · Grades 1–8 · $275
Bus pickup from Richmond Elementary
Kids dive into the wonderfully odd, quietly hilarious world of Jon Klassen. As a group, they will choose one of his well-loved books — like I Want My Hat Back, This Is Not My Hat, or The Rock From the Sky — and build a puppet performance inspired by the story.
They’ll design characters, build puppets, craft simple sets, and work together to create a short show they’ll perform on the final day.
It’s part theatre, part sculpture, part chaos gremlin energy — in the best way.
we put the “art” in “party”
Riot Craft Studio brings the celebration to you — all materials, setup, cleanup, and a custom craft theme that fits your kid, your space, and your party energy. From unicorns to dinosaurs to “no theme, just glitter,” we make it work.
Parties start at $250 for 2 hours and are fully customizable. Choose a package based on your group size and how much guided crafting you want.
Perfect for birthdays, celebrations, end-of-season parties, or just gathering the chaos crew for a high-quality mess.
Emily Eley, mama to Bo, age 6
Izzy made my kiddo’s 6th birthday an absolute dream. She guided the kids through the sweetest gnome-making project and sun-catcher snowflakes, and somehow struck the perfect balance between giving them enough instruction to feel confident and enough freedom to just explore and create whatever their imaginations came up with.
The whole vibe was joyful, calm, and very creative — even the grown-ups were having a blast making snowflakes. Bo is still talking about it. Highly recommend for any kid who loves making things with their hands. Also, there was literally NO MESS to pick up. Yayyyy!
meet izzy
Part Martha Stewart, part Miss Frizzle, part kazoo player in a punk band — Izzy has been making joyful messes since forever. She’s a professional illustrator, lifelong maker, and the creative force behind Riot Craft Studio.
Izzy’s workshops are known for silliness, skill-building, and screen-free creativity that lets kids be fully themselves. When she’s not teaching, she’s knitting, dreaming up new craft ideas, or reorganizing the ever-growing craft barn in Jericho.
